?????? u obviously missed his opinions, just stop commenting

btw this guy has never been right

Kavorklestein3534d ago

No, he's just smarter than bashing something that is an inanimate object. He's pretty straight up and doesn't dance around Sony, Microsoft's or Nintendo's feelings, and speaks in realistic terms at all times... some of his ideas are weird, but his knowledge of market trends are SPOT on.

breakpad3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

totally agree ...Pachter only predicts what is best for MS ..MS this ,MS that...i dont blame him..he was paid by MS for some time as he had a show in gametrailers...and is an american investor/manager , he doesnt want a Japanese company to thrive in their own market...also Pachter/ MS is greedy about Nintendos death and turn to software only as they want their exclusives IPs which are the only exclusives with standard big sales in Japan-Xbone in Japan is simply nonexistant

-Foxtrot3534d ago

Nintendo needs to give up, yet MS wants to win?

Whaaaaaa

I don't want to get into some huge bloody argument but if you had to tell one of them to "give up" Pachter it would be Microsoft at this point. Nintendo have made some mistakes in the recent years but Microsoft has tried to turn the Xbox One around so much yet they've not had much luck. They simply don't "get" gaming, least Nintendo does.

Godmars2903534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

Nintendo still owns the handheld market while MS only set themselves up as 3rd party platform. Which is why they're looking so bad now. That and DRM. The insistence on Kinect.

Viper73534d ago

Pachter was talking about Wii U here which is actually having a lot more problems than Xbox One. Microsoft has all the money and resources they need to keep Xbox one relevant (they demonstrated this pretty well by buying Mojang).

Besides it's pretty clear that western developers have mostly lost all hope in Wii U. Sure there are handful of indies that still develop on Wii u, but they'll likely target other platforms as well.

Microsoft doesn't need to win this generation, they just need to stay relevant enough to keep the multiplatform support.

SovereignSnaKe3534d ago

The Insistence on Kinect? Really? And here I am playing D4, technically a Kinect Game, with the option of using the Controller OR Kinect. And it plays just find with the Xbox Controller.

Godmars2903534d ago

@SovereignSnaKe:
You realize that you're saying this in a post, XB1 offered w/o Kinect, world right? That D4, even if its good and actually proves that games can be made to work with Kinect, that its too little too late? Even if it gets more good/working titles, MS is now sitting on the fence with VR. Waiting to see if that's going to be popular.

Viper7:
MS just have to keep the XB1 a relevant platform for 3-5 years when the brand was selling, only really popular in the US where its lost momentum. Has to be held up and protected because its having more issues with 1080p and 60 fps than the PS4.

CloudRap3534d ago

I dont think Ive seen one comment from this guy that isnt an anti-MS rant. Yeesh, Id like to see you make a better console.

Spotie3533d ago

It's kinda hard to not screw up as bad as Microsoft did. I think surpassing their efforts with the XB1.

98xpresent3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

The wii u is garbage tho. It can't even play DVDs , it still uses optical cables ROFL . It's literally a wii with a tablet .

Xbox one is just a weaker ps4

Ohh I can't forget this http://mynintendonews.com/2...

MSBAUSTX3534d ago

Yeah because we all watch DVDs nowadays. What is this 1999. Troll.

Dudebro903534d ago

Wii u doesn't have optical chief.

Also has HDMI...so....

98xpresent3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

That's my point my ps2 can play DVDs

@metallox it doesnt have a option to buy DVDs though

Metallox3534d ago

It's garbage because it can't be your DVD player?

It's garbage because it lets you the option to use tricolor cables to play Wii games on a decent old TV? (Because, you know, Wii games look horrible on HDTV)

schlanz3534d ago

what the f* is a dvd son

Jaqen_Hghar3534d ago

It is much easier for a man to justify a purchase of the WiiU than an Xbox One. Better software and like you said, Xbox is just a weaker PS4 so a man gets all the stuff WiiU doesn't have on that along with the 2 best exclusive companies without any Xbox.

SpeedDemon3534d ago

I buy gaming consoles to play games on, not watch dvd's.

Lon3wolf3534d ago

I wish it did have optical cables then I wouldn't of had to buy a hdmi-optical converter to play the Wii-U on my PC monitor.

Not fussed about the Wii-U not being able to play DVD's either, who hasn't got any alternate method of playing them?

frezhblunts3534d ago

98 present you sound like a child, wow the disney game has lowest resolution. If you think about it Mario wouldn't work as well on ps4 either unless they took a lot of time to make it properly dedicated to the ps4. They are on different structures and I am sure why people don't develop for Wii U, takes time and people are lazy plus you have to make sure everything comes up on the gamepad too. I don't remember the last time I had to get a dvd, I just stream movies on the Wii U internet browser

Dudebro903534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

So Microsoft should call it quits less than a year into the cycle, while Nintendo has struggled for years, but you think Microsoft should give up over Nintendo on their current platform?

Right... That N4G logic right here.

deafdani3534d ago

Microsoft has lost billions of dollars on their Xbox division, whereas Nintendo has been healthy and profitable more often than not.

Sure, they're going through a rough patch right now with the Wii U, but that's slowly turning around (the Wii U is selling at profit now). Not to mention that they have a rock-solid grasp on the handheld market.

I'm not saying Microsoft should quit or anything, but all things considered, I think it's a serious mistake to underestimate Nintendo when they are the company with the most experience on the gaming business by a wide mile. Despite what some people think or say, they aren't fools and they know their business. So, yeah, I wouldn't count Nintendo out before Microsoft. :P

choujij3534d ago

@deafdani

+1 for an intelligent response.

zerog3533d ago

Well I prefer playstation but you do realize the first wii technically won last gen right? It did sell over a 100 million units after all. If I buy a second console this gen it will be a wii u because I'd rather have zelda alone more then all of xboxs so called exclusives combined.

Mastadope423534d ago

Lol you are always defending Nintendo. I even remember getting into a debate/argument with you about the big N and you got rebuttal-ed to death and still said I was ignorant and what not after I successfully declared my point but you kept on deflecting over and over again. Can you please be more realistic. Look at NPD, MS is outselling Nintendo consistently.

Concertoine3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

"Look at only american numbers!"

Fixed.

Wii U has outsold it worldwide every month since May. Its only been ahead since Madden and Destiny came out. Im not blindly defending the system, but the least you can do is look at worldwide numbers.

Also what are you saying man Foxtrot is like the second biggest pariah on the nintendo pages behind LOL_WUT. Like literally he can say almost anything and he'll get disagrees on a wii u article. I mean a lot of the time hes just in the minority opinion but a lot of stuff is just deemed trolling by some of the nintendo fanboys.

qwerty6763534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

Foxtrot at it again with his normal MS bashing rhetoric.

never thinking objectively and always giving fanboy logic.

Loadedklip3533d ago

He is correct though. Microsoft is doing all it can to undo the damage they did to themselves with DRM, Kinect and more.

Nintendo is 3 or more years away from having a console that has a "CHANCE" at possibly getting full third party support.

Address is actual points and explain where he is wrong.

qwerty6763532d ago

lol what?

he didnt make any points whatsoever

hes faulting microsoft for listening to feedback and making changes.

thats like saying sony doesnt get gaming because they made the ps3 600 bucks.

look all these companies have made mistakes.

In fact the first DS from nintendo looked like a fat piece of plastic and was slow to take off. so according to foxtrot they obviously dont get gaming because they didn't realize that people wanted something sleek and stylish aka DS Lite.

but nope its just always the normal microsoft bashing, with foxtrot just grasping at straws like he normally does.

Godmars2903534d ago

MS wanted to win last gen as well as the gen before that. Presented and made themselves believe that they had indeed won with the 360, which only directly lead to the mistakes made with the XB1.

oldskoolgamer7023534d ago

they did win with 360. they would be winning now if they wouldn't of screwed up the hardware.i have both and xbox live kills psn but the whole 900p really makes me angry.

MonstaTruk3534d ago

@oldskoolgamer702

There's an article on N4G saying that Project Cars on PS4 is 1080p/60fps, and the Xbox One is...something lower. Not to instigate or anything but...yeah. :-/

generalthadeape3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

Yeah, me too.

Pretty much love my Xbox One except Kinect only works 70% of the time and non-1080p BS really does make me feel like the Xbox One is a "weak-assed" system.

Other than that, I'm enjoying just about everything else that damned big black box can do.

I really do hope Microsoft learns from this mistake and they use top-notch hardware next time they make a new system.

If most of us Xbox One owners were to be honest, the choice to use lower-spec'd hardware in order to be able to include Kinect when the Xbox One first came out may be the Xbox One's undoing.

deafdani3534d ago

Both Sony and Nintendo outsold Microsoft on the past generation, despite them having a full year headstart. How does that means "winning", exactly?

:/

turkish413534d ago

they did with the 360 ? both wii and ps3 surpass 360 but yeah they did it again :)

Good podcast! Mr. Patcher made some solid points regarding Nintendo. I think current gen consoles are going to be here a lot longer than what we saw last gen. ;)

AKR3534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

If Osama Bin Laden speaked ill of Nintendo, you'd love him.

To this day; as to how you have more than 1 bubble still amazes me.

ABizzel13534d ago

You wouldn't believe he actually has a Wii U, with his comments or at the very least a Nintendo ID.

He borderline trolls at times, and he goes to the extreme, but Nintendo needs a wake up call in their console business. It's hard for them, because they can't make a console over $300, because their E for everyone image and that price limits them technologically.

AKR3534d ago

@ABizzel1

You had me until you brought up the Wii U's price point . . . I didn't know the age-rating for games had ANYTHING to do with price. So; let's say 95% of the U's library was T or M-rated titles? Would that suddenly make the price worth the while?

All of the bundles that Nintendo (and individual store chains) have put out for the system thus far have been really good. In each bundle you got 1 (and now-a-days TWO) free games and even an accessory or two in some bundles. Yet, still, it's all costed less than a standard PS4 bundle.

The Wii U is priced exactly where it should be, IMO. It always has been - especially when there are still PS3 bundles which are rather close to it.

LOL_WUT3534d ago

If you read my comment I said the man made SOME solid points indicating that there was some I didn't agree with. You could always hit that ignore/block button if it bothers you so much, I mean you've been here how long? ;)

@ABizzel1 I don't think price is the issue anymore the console is 2 years old and it already has seen a price cut and some bundle deals. We'll see the occasional sales spike but nothing out of the ordinary.

ABizzel13534d ago (Edited 3534d ago )

@ARK

You completely misunderstood what I was saying. Their consoles are aimed at a wide market of gamers of all ages, and a big part of that market are younger gamers.

Young gamers makeup a good part of their market, and you can't have a $400 / $500 console marketed towards them, because parents are less likely to spend that kind of money on it. So they have to stay at the $300 range, and that "LIMITS THEM TECHNOLOGICALLY". Everything I said was speaking strictly to the technological side of their consoles.

It has nothing to do with rated T or rated M games (which they are sorely lacking in), it's just the position Nintendo created for themselves and the image they've been given by the community.

You're speaking price as in terms of value which I never said anything about. I'm simply saying that Nintendo can't compete directly with MS and Sony by making a $400 - $500 hardcore console, because it'll only sell to their core (which has proven to be more interested in their handhelds, and shrinking on consoles). Thus technologically speaking they're limited with a $300 budget, while Sony and MS have a $400 - $500 range to play with.

Reading Comprehension 101.

Now if you want to talk value, then the Wii U is priced decently now especially with its bundles. But the fact that they can sell the console with 2 games, or a game and a Wiimote goes to show that they can do a price cut, and they would be wise to cut price down to $250 early next year if they want to keep the XBO from passing them in 2015.

Sales have dropped from the 60k a week down to 40k. They can ride off the success of Smash, but come March (aka tax season) they need to scoop up as much of that tax money as possible and a $250 Wii U + the line-up they have early 2015 would help them ride out the rest of the year, and possible hold on to their second place at least to the end of 2015.

NintendoSonyfan3529d ago

@ABizzel you say a large part of their user base is young people, but Nintendo's statistics of online users shows that only 6% are under 18 and the majority are 18-35. To get these stats they looked at how many WIi U's go online and found that 70% of consoles are connected. SO even if we fill in the difference of the 30% that are not connected we still only come out to about 10% of Wii U's being owned by kids.
You say the price of $400-$500 dollars turns the parents off from buying the system for their kids, but that does not make sense considering how many kids recieved PS4's and XB1's as gifts. Also when I was a kid I paid for my own Genesis, Sega CD, and Playstation at launch with my money. It's not unheard of that kids still buy their own consoles.

PlayStation Aims to Entice PC Gamers to Play Single-Player Sequels on Consoles

Sony aims to release live service PlayStation games day & date on PC and PS5, but single-player games will have more "strategic approach."

-Foxtrot2d ago

How? I’m sorry but how when they literally port their games to the PC now after not even 2 years, it’s rumored GoW Ragnarok is next.

The best thing they could have done is focus on the generation before with PS3 / PS4 titles and when it got to the PS6 then start porting PS5 games so people will want to get the sequel on the new console

Now PC gamers just wait it out because they know it’s coming

Redemption-642d ago

Rock Star does the same thing. Release 1st on consoles, wait a year or two then release on PC. It's clearly a strategy that works for them.

They don't need a lot of PC gamers to move to Playstation, but they just need a few who would also buy into it and possibly double dip. There are some very unhappy gamers on Twitter, who wanted to hear day and date for all games.

Cacabunga1d 23h ago (Edited 1d 23h ago )

Fox
Your analyse is not accurate..

If sony keeps things the way they are then they will grow the business. Some pc gamers who really liked God of War for example might buy PS4 or 5 to play Ragnarok. Same if they announce ghost of tsushima 2 or a new Ratchet game.

-Foxtrot1d 21h ago

Rockstar?

Yeah I loved playing Red Dead Redemption on PC…….

@Cacabunga

I highly doubt it, PC gamers have their setups, if they didn’t budge for years to get a console despite all the cool exclusives then they aren’t going to budge now knowing a new PS5 game will get a port 2 years later

Crows901d 19h ago (Edited 1d 19h ago )

@cacbunga

Basically you're functioning under the assumption that PC players are impatient, rich and stupid.

Most will not budge. But if the hype is real enough they'll get a few. But those few won't actually be invested in the platform.

shinoff21831d 8h ago

Those unhappy gamers will just have to suck it up. I'm sure Sony sees how thats worked out for Xbox. Why tf would they follow in their footsteps

+ Show (1) more replyLast reply 1d 8h ago
thorstein2d ago

How?

According to Sony, by co launching live service games like Helldivers2 day one, then enticing PC players to want to play sequels on the console for SP games.

That's how. If you play Ghost of Tsushima and Sony launches GoT 2 on PS later this year, you're more apt to want to grab the console and play the sequel instead of waiting.

1d 23h ago
ThinkThink1d 23h ago

Yeah, pc players are the most patient of players. They will just wait for the game to come to pc.

Tacoboto1d 22h ago

You're just spitting back out the Sony PR line.

PC-first and PC-centric gaming is a different beast. Helldivers 2's popularity and GoT's popularity are because they're good solid games, not because they're from PlayStation publishing.

It's the same PlayStation that put Helldivers 2 for sale internationally, then pulled their PSN-Steam removal card. The same PlayStation that released Returnal with UE4's dreaded shader stutter. The same PlayStation that released TLOU Part 1 in a broken state.

If Sony's PS4 slate of titles didn't convince PC gamers, if their current PS5 titles still don't, ports of games they've had *years* of knowing and reading and hearing about aren't going to convince them to finally buy a console.

Don't fall so easily for the same PR BS that fabricates quotes from their own studio heads.

VincentVanBro1d 22h ago

Nah I’ll wait for the best version on PC lol

JEECE1d 21h ago

I mean that's certainly the thinking, but for most PC gamers that just won't work. Like in a rare circumstance if someone was already on the fence about a console that might get them to take the plunge and buy a PlayStation, but it will be the exception rather than the rule.

-Foxtrot1d 19h ago (Edited 1d 19h ago )

PC gamers are super patient

There's no f****** way, for example, they are going to get a PS5 the moment Ghost of Tsushima 2 is announced just because they played the PC port of the first game

The mindset?

"Ah cool GoT2 has been announced, really enjoyed the first game. Anyway I'll just play on the dozens of other games I have while I wait for the obvious PC port from Sony in like 2 years"

Not a chance they'll all wait now.

thorstein1d 17h ago (Edited 1d 17h ago )

@tacoboto

"You're just spitting back the Sony PR line."

I literally said: "According to Sony."

I was responding to someone who asked "How?"

I gave Fox an answer that reflects Sony's thinking. Maybe read the OP's comment and then reading a reply to that person as if it's an answer to their question instead of sounding off in such a bizarre way. See Jeece's reply to mine.

@Dom I do. Sony may not, but then again, they've made billions in the gaming industry and you've made $0.

INMATEofARKHAM1d 10h ago

@thorstein PC gamers have been condition to wait... Epic Games exclusives don't sell well and EA, Ubisoft, and MS have all come back/or arrived on Steam and that's all for preferred store front that doesn't cost money at all so to think people will rush out to spend 500 dollars on a console (whichvcould be used to help pay for PC upgrades) is a bit naive.

shinoff21831d 8h ago (Edited 1d 8h ago )

I think some of yall are giving pc gamers to much credit. Not every pc gamer is gonna be the same. I'm sure sony isnt expecting all pc gamers to switch, that would be foolish. Idk how many pc goers are there. 500 million 400 million idk really. Say son bgets 5 million of them to it was worth it. If you say none imma call bs

You're mistakenly speaking for all PC gamers, there are bound to be some people who are not willing to wait and for Sony those are potential console buyers.

RaidenBlack1d 17h ago (Edited 1d 17h ago )

eh, no ... if a PC gamer is playing on a PC, they'll continue to do so ... there are tons n tons of games on Steam alone and the steam gamers' backlog stories are one of the most discussed topic you'll find in PC forums ... indie is already huge there, plus early access, PC-exclusive titles, VR, big publishers' titles and now Sony's ports too.
Realistically speaking, usually there's not enough time to complete the backlog alone, than go buy a separate console altogether.
The only game that has the power somewhat to make a PC gamer to get a console is GTA VI.
PC gaming existed and proliferated well before this recent Sony's PC decision.

StormSnooper1d 17h ago

@romulus23
True, there will be new gamers who will be exposed to PlayStation IPs, and they will possibly obtain PSN accounts, both of which make people more inclined to purchase PlayStation.

VincentVanBro1d 11h ago (Edited 1d 11h ago )

I don’t think you understand PC gaming. We have sooooo many games to play it’s kind of ludicrous. The insane Steam backlog is not a myth. So, we’ll happily wait for the best version of a game.

Well, if they want the games when they release, they will need a PlayStation. If they are ok with waiting, then they can do that. I think it’s a sound gameplan for PlayStation. The release of games on PC, will generate additional fans for the ips.

kaos891d 12h ago

So who cares how / when someone chooses to spend or not spend their money? Sony gets their money for their game sold either way whether its on PS5 or PC, so in the end what does it matter?

Resistance_lord1d 12h ago (Edited 1d 12h ago )

@Fox
It actually works, i know some of my friends and cousins who cannot wait and bought a Ps5 to play Horizon FW. In fact they cannot believe that "ps has amazing games" lol

Sure there's others who can wait a whole year or two but then there's others who have to play as soon as possible.

Christopher1d 10h ago

*** Now PC gamers just wait it out because they know it’s coming ***

I think a lot of people who would abandon consoles entirely don't because of the wait. Sure, they aren't drawing new users from PC like they want, but they are maintaining while getting more from PC-only gamers (possibly even double taps from those who own both).

Einhander19721d 8h ago (Edited 1d 8h ago )

The PS5 Pro is going to be WAY above the average PC of users on Steam.

The Xbox brand has done a lot of good over the years, but their various blunders are pretty wild to look back on in their magnitude.

Ironically number 9 can save them at this point (releasing games on multiple platforms)

ChasterMies6d ago

By “save them” you mean make more profit for Microsoft. Xbox will still be a dying hardware platform.

OtterX7d ago

You could add the naming scheme for the consoles, it just confuses customers. I know they wanted to avoid traditional numbering bc it would always be lower than their competitor, but this whole 360 then One then Series thing is confusing af. Imagine a Soccer Mom trying to figure this stuff out. I still mistakenly call the Series X the One from time to time on accident.

RNTody7d ago

Don't forget about the Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X! Good luck to Soccer moms around the world.

S2Killinit6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

They did that on purpose to confuse and direct attention away from the generational numbering.

MS doesn’t like reminding people that they joined the industry after others had already been involved in gaming.

For instance, they called the xbox “360” to combat PlayStation “3” because they wanted to seem like “more” than “3”, so instead of xbox 2, they opted for xbox 360. Also this had the additional benefit of selling consoles to uninformed parents who might purchase a “360” instead of a “3” by mistake, or because they thought 360 was more than 3. Kind of a disingenuous move.

They have been continuing with their confusing naming patterns for pretty much the same reasons. Frankly, it fits with who and what they are as a brand.

FinalFantasyFanatic6d ago

I can understand their reasoning, but whoever came up with that naming scheme should be fired, bad naming schemes have killed consoles (I'm pretty sure it was the major reason for the downfall of the WiiU). They should have had unqiue names like Nintendo and Sega have had for their consoles, far less confusing for the consumer.

rob-GP2d ago

@FinalFantasyFanatic "They should have had unqiue names like Nintendo..."

lol, you mean:

NES, SNES
GameBoy, GameBoy Advanced, GameBoy Colour, GameBoy SP
DS, DSi, DSXL
3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL
Wii, Wii U
Switch, Switch OLED

Phil Spencer is the worst that has happened to Xbox.
They built a respectable brand up to Xbox one. Then this guy took over and things became a joke

Reaper22_6d ago

He still has his job. Something you can't say about Jim Ryan.

Cacabunga6d ago

Both bad execs. One is on job and one thankfully retired.

FinalFantasyFanatic6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

I didn't like either person, both people damaged their respective brands and produced worse outcomes, but Phil did save the Xbox brand from being retired by Microsoft. Although in hindsight, he should have just let it die, rather than languish in limbo like it is now.

Rainbowcookie5d ago

Yeah but the one that was "bad" didn't even affect sales.

bunt-custardly6d ago

Phil Spencer was also on the team back when 360 was around, alongside Shane Kim, Peter Moore etc. I think the damage that did the most harm was the Don Mattrick "Always Online" console (ahead of its time basically). They handed Sony and Nintendo a free-pass when that was revealed. It went downhill from there. Then the corporate machine went into full swing to try and recover. They have to a degree as a games company for the masses, and less so for the core gamer. Outside USA, the Xbox brand does not sell as well as Japanese based consoles (citation needed).

Cacabunga6d ago

Want a decision maker. The always online and TV plans was a disaster yes, but they caught up by announcing 1st party games that gamers actually kept the hype going.. until this moron took over and introduced the PC day one release.. e all know where that ended..

S2Killinit6d ago

I dont think they were ever a respectable brand, not since the beginning, when their goal was never to be involved and share in the gaming space. I think the OG xbox was an exception because MS as a brand was still getting its foot in and so the people behind that were people of the gaming industry.

FinalFantasyFanatic6d ago

The 360 was the brand in its prime though, everything went downhill towards the end of that generation. Its staple games like Halo, Forza and Gears are what kept the console relevant and afloat for so long.

MaximusPrime_7d ago

Really good video.

I remember the days with RRoD was big news on here, N4G.

Microsoft had it turbulence number of years.

Looking at the success of Sea of Thieves despite being 6 years old, time to release Halo, Forza horizon 4 & 5 on PS5. It'll help their revenue

shinoff21836d ago (Edited 6d ago )

2 of the 4 games they did already sold really well. So it's definitely going down. Idk about halo or forza but I feel those studios they've bought in the last 5 years, their coming

ChasterMies6d ago

I found this video painful to watch. Can someone list them out?

Top 10 for me from are:
1. 2013 reveal presentation
2. Bundling Kinect 2 with Xbox One
3. RRoD or why rushing to market with hardware is always a bad idea.
4. Buying studios only to close them.
5. Ads on the Home Screen
6. Letting Halo die.
7. Letting Geard of War die.
8. Every console name
9. Charging for Xbox Live on Xbox 360 when Sony let PS3 players play online for free.
10. Cancelling release of OG Xbox games after the Xbox 360 launched.

Great news it shows that Nintendo intends to continue developing ports of AAA games to its next gen platform

H911d ago

Buying studios from embracer now is a great deal, they must be dirt cheap at this point, Nintendo is a opportunist, they wait until someone fall so they get their best deal

OtterX10d ago

That is some serious brain gymnastics you have going on there. 🤔

H910d ago

I didn't do any gymnastics I can assure you, honestly I don't know why you think that, not hating I seriously don't see why you think that

ZeekQuattro10d ago

Yeah I don't know where that came from. It's rare for Nintendo to flat out aquire studios. Guess they were trying to be edgy but why flex on this studio. 🤣

Kneetos9d ago

At least they are safer from layoffs with Nintendo then any other company

banger8811d ago

I hope someone buys Piranha Bytes, their future isn't looking good right now. I love their RPGs, they're janky as f***, but they have heart and soul.

Relientk7711d ago

Nintendo saw the Mortal Kombat 1 Switch port and were like, "Yeah, these guys are worth acquiring."

You can't make this crap up lol

Profchaos11d ago

Mortal Kombat 1 was never going to port well I'm sure they told wb it wasn't going to work but wb wants that sweet sweet 140 million install base

In the end wb approved the project cleared the milestones and allowed the product to release

SonOfOsiris10d ago

Yeah this guys ported MK11 which is great, Hogwarts Legacy which is great, and MK1 is now ok, play it every day
