As pretty as it looks it's missing a few things. Namely the X, O, Sqaure, Triangle and two shoulders. But hey! It looks like it does have 2 analog sticks!

Thats because its not real. If it was do you think sony would miss out those buttons. Its a concept made by Tai Chiem. Personally i think it looks amazing but i wouldnt want to play games on a screen that is moving about everywhere. It just looks impractical.

Sony are dumb enough to not put the buttons onit and finally put 2 sticks onit. Even though its not real, I wouldn't be suprised sony **** it up again.

If you reread the article, it mentions that when electricity passes through the OLED's pixels, they become rigid, so it flopping about wouldnt be a problem.

I know it's not real I read the article. I was just pointing out that it's missing a few "necessary" buttons even though it's a concept.

Having used the X, triangle, square, and circle buttons as an extra d-pad for fps games via an adhesive thumbpad addon, I can say that this is quite viable, and I'm sure that the shoulder and/or bumper buttons are on the back. Having the second thumbstick replace the face buttons would also leave the door open for backwards compatibility, through hard emulation. It's a nic concept if implemented correctly, and not a far-cry with todays consumer technology.

Completely impractical and ergonomically terrible, but from a design point of view, cool as ****. Make an amazing media player for films or TV but not a handheld console. A super expensive media player. Might as well throw in a touch screen.

But props to the designer, nice photoshop skills.

If they made the PSP 2 with an OLED screen like that it would cost $2500.

The current OLED that is available is $2500 for an 11 inch screen.

Sony has an 11 inch OLED TV out right now and it is $2499.99.

So if they were to use this concept for the PSP2 it would cost a fortune if it came out soon. Maybe in about 5 years it would be affordable. Not to mention that the current OLED technology has a worse life span than the first plasma tv's.

My PS3 didn't cost much less! And it didn't come with it's own screen, that cost me $1500.

reason being, the way Sony is upgrading the PSP (PSP1000-3000). It'll be some time til' Sony brings out the PSP2. And by the time the PSP2 (assuming w/oled) comes out, the price for Oled will/should go down dramatically.

With a better looking screen, less power consumption (from what I read), and a thinner screen (thus overall thinness of the product itself) it'll be dope as hell for sony to make this happen.

Just my opinion. Of course I may (and most likely WILL) be wrong :P

I suggest more of a book type idea or a slide out screen and the hand hold is touch screen so you can have buttons wherever you want and keyboard. Or detachable roll up screen... I could go on forever.

it would be dope having a slide out Oled screen. Dual analog. Blue Tooth compatible (for PS3). Built in Camera. FULL compatibility with PSN (friends list, trophies, etc.), Touch screen for messaging (with other PSP2 users and PS3 users. I'm telling ya bro, we all could go on forever on what we want to PSP2 to be like. :)

btw: I know this is not practical, but I always liked how this fan made PSP2 looks. I think it's a step in the right direction. My Humble opinion absolutely.

Sony developed OLED they are the leading pioneers in the OLED technology, just look at the PS3 they used it to promote Blu-ray, another one of their inventions. Blu-ray only won over HD-DVD due to the PS3 making it wide spread, Sony might very well use this same technique to promote OLED, they'll just wait until its cost effective this time! LOL

Dude. This thing looks like crap. Sorry, but it does.

No point in getting upset people, its just some kid and his crazy concept for a portable that Sony will likely spend more time re-hashing the current version until they find a good match for consumers. I dont think the design will change much. It'll prolly be thinner, lighter, and have better res(which is good even now) but thats about it. Oh yeah, and it should have a huge 50gb SS-HDD in it(made up of 3-4 SD cards with formatted partitions, no doubt).
