Like i said, those were my gripes with the nintendo switch. I understand in a nintendo thread most people will dissagree with my wants and thats perfectly fine. I just expected more. By 2017 standards at the very least 3rd partys should be 720 60 with no further downgrades or technical isses like with doom and soon wolfenstine 2 and dark souls remastered which was recently announced to be delayed. Which makes another issue im having with switch versions being full priced and not releasing day and date as other consoles.

MHW is a definite change and a fantastic game. One worth checking out if you have an XB1 or PS4. Generations was a very popular game on the 3DS, so I am sure plenty of people will be happy with this game releasing on Switch.

This one is going to be very similar to the WiiU one. Don't get me wrong they made massive improvements throughout the 3ds monster Hunters leading up to this game that I think pushed the series forward in a lot of great ways but at it's core it's the same. World changed a lot and made the series more accessible but the lack of fighting styles introduced in Generations was odd to me so this one may have more variety on that basis alone.

Ehh incredible is a bit of a stretch. Im still dumbfounded they didnt go with the x2 chip instead of the x1... im sure to nintendo fans the switch is the best thing next to sliced bread, but for everyone else its lacking in many areas. Third partys AAA games run like dog sh!t on the console. Hence why there will never be a kindon hearts, final fantasy, or any other big aaa game on the system and if it does come you will pay a premium price like its a new damn game for a vastly downgraded game that you can pay the same exact $$ and get a much better experience... cough ps4 cough... cough doom cough... orr any other AAA 3rd party comming so we can both play that game.

While you name all your fav things about the switch here are my issues....

1. X1 chip from years ago the same as in the nvidia shield. Like why? It wouldnt have been that much more expensive to have all 1st and 3rd party games at 1080 60 handheld. Missed opportunity as many ppl would gladly pay 349 or even 399 for this option as the switch was 1st rumored to be 399 anyways.
2. No cloud based saved games
3. Where tf is virtual console? Didnt nintendo say it wasnt comming?
4. Laughable gb system storage by even 2006 standards.
5. Samey 1st partys... where are the new AAA 1st partys?
6. No apps or a decent internet by 20... 2010- current standards.
7. Battery life... the x2 would have had better performance graphics and power consumption.
8. Still waiting for online nintendo.

1- It was heavily rumored to be $250 instead of $400. Even at $300 you still have people thinking it's too muich. Imagine if it was $400.
2- Which is coming with their online subscription.
3- They never confirmed Virtual Console for the Switch.
4- Name me a portable device that had 32GB of flash storage (bonus if it has expandable storage) that wasn't over $300 back in 2006.
5- Arms, Snipperclips and Sushi Striker are new IPs. Splatoon is still relatively new. I could name some more that had a focused release on the 3DS, but I don't need to.
6- Agreed. They should add more apps and a web browser.
7- Agreed on the battery life.
8- Online has always been available for free. The only thing you're waiting for is the subscription service.

It's hilarious how people honestly expected something that was like 1/20th the size of a PS4 to somehow equal it in performance, battery and resolution, while keeping it under $300. You guys make me laugh, seriously. Look how much the Vita was when it came out, and that was only a handheld. The Switch destroys it in every regard and it can be used on your TV too.

You sound salty because you missed out on a lot of great MH games in the series because your beloved PS4 didn't have any before MHW. Now it's apparent that Capcom plans for multiple systems to have multiple MH games. Just deal with it and move on. The problem with any of this is, no one can handle a difference of preference. Let him have his gripes, does it change you liking it? The Switch, is a Nintendo product, so one had to be aware that it would be lacking in the technical department. Nintendo is like Apple, in the regards that it has a customer base that is willing to buy repackaged product. If they are willing to accept it and demand nothing more, let them. My Switch is there just in case there is a game they have that I want to play. Metroid is currently the only draw, for me, that the Switch has. Was a huge Zelda fan until it became the Witcher, in that regard I'll just play Witcher. This takes little from its fan base, and I just buy all the systems just in case. My input isn't worth much otherwise.

Rehashes/remakes/ect is a lot of whats flooding the switch market and they particularly sell very well, so you cant really fault nintendo for giving the fans more of what they want. As far as mhw comming to the switch, the scaleabilty and scope of that game is ginormous even for base 2013 console standards. Could you imagine the downgrades that would have to take place to fit mhw on the switch... were talking 540 just to hit sub 30 fps or 720 at 10-15 fps.

If it could have been done it would have. Switch owners would be perfectly fine with a massively downgraded portable ver.

Give it time. World was in development for 5 years, before they even knew the Switch existed. Capcom doesn't really have unlimited resources. The 3DS Monster Hunters were of very little risk to them, as they were able to be developed using the same engines and smaller budgets. Fans asked for Monster Hunter on Switch, and they did what they could to make it happen. If it sells well, I'm sure they'll want more titles on the system. Capcom seems to be doing better by fans now than they have in some time. World was an incredible game, they finally kinda fixed Street Fighter, new Megaman coming.

I've only started with Monster Hunter World, I've never played another MH game, is it basically the same game refreshed each time? How much do they change from game to game?

MH Worlds has a lot of differences compared to Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. [Which is basically going to be an upgraded localization of Monster Hunter XX {AKA Double-Cross}]
Styles, for one, are going to be much more varied, though we don't yet know if the Switch version will keep the loading between areas or not, as that's been a staple of the series up until Worlds.

Worlds was basically casualized a bit for the western audience. Doesn't make it bad, though, as there were a lot of QoL changes that the series would benefit from as a whole introduced into it.
But MHXX and preceeding titles to it are a very different sort of beast.

Well, in terms of content, this game is the bigger one, ironically.
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will have far more monsters, more weapons, and more combat variety and items to use, than Worlds does.

Monster Hunter Worlds has, for example, 50 monsters total; 18 small monsters and 32 large monsters.

Monster Hunter Double Cross, out in Japan and what will now be called Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate out here once it releases on Switch, had/has 129 Monsters, 36 small and 93 large.

So in terms of content size, and I know this will probably rub some the wrong way so forgive me for it please...
Monster Hunter Worlds is basically Monster Hunter for beginners, but with a few Quality-of-life upgrades to the simple stuff [herb picking, no load screens between areas that big monsters spawn in, tracking monsters, and a few other things] and in a prettier graphical package.

It's the perfect entry-level Monster Hunter title, in other words. You made a good choice by going with it first, to help you get used to the general flow of the series.

Monster Hunter Gen Ultimate, however, is for the big boys who want to dig into the meat of the series; tons more monsters, and as a result tons more gear to get, in addition to new combat via the Styles, which every weapon can use, and all act differently due to it, in addition to special "Hunter Arts". [ The Sword and Shield, for example, can allow you to do a very Zelda-ish Spin Attack, but with invulnerability frames. The Twin swords does something similar, only moving in huge distances and with multiple slashes in trade for no invulnerability.]

Gen Ultimate will also run in 1080p when docked, so while the graphics won't be the realistic eye-ball feast that World offers, it will still look plenty great and it should keep you occupied for quite a while.
Best of all, if you have a save file of MH Generations on 3DS, you can transfer that data over to Gen. U on Switch when it releases, so you can pick up where you left off while also enjoying all the new things that the original Generations didn't have.

You didn't want to released it 2017 for the sole reason that to capcom's logic it's that the the NS was big enough in the west to risk it and also consider in that you showed MHW on E3 you didn't want to blew it so your strategy was simply to delayed mhxx to the west until MHW was released and now that the cock riding for that shitty game is gone and every sucker bought it it, the next big thing Is to maintain the MH momentum by releasing to the NS this year and keep the income flowing.
