"That PSN number seems like it should be much higher... especially when you consider that PS4 alone has a sell through of over 117m. To not even be at least half that is rather interesting.

To the XB side, having 34m to an install base of roughly 50m (XBO sell through) or even 85m (360 sell through) is a greater percentage of unit to member ratio than PSN."

Have you ever heard of a PC before? I hear they are pretty popul...

No one interested in this game?

It looks great, the combat and world seem to be much more than was shown here including interesting stealth, NPC interactions and traversal mechanics.

Here is an older video from a year ago, you can really see how the graphics especially the lighting and textures have improved.

The PS5 Pro is going to be WAY above the average PC of users on Steam.

The PS5 Pro will be able to play every single game they have released on PC at PC settings with a minimum of 60FPS and higher with unlocked framerates.

This is what's so great about PlayStation, you can roll into this game right after you show footage from a PVP shooter then roll out into a souls like...

The variety is so good on PlayStation.

Hopefully this game does well if for no other reason than how unique it is.

You do realize these deals were done years ago, right?

And it's not Japan that they are investing in it's China and Korea, they want the gacha money and China and Korea want western money and recognition.

Edit: I was reading an article a while back from a PlayStation Asia executive about how Genshin dramatically increased console adoption in Asia specifically China as they were able to pull mobile users into a relatively inexpensive console.

I mean, xbox has been taken off the shelves.

In Europe most retailers only have PlayStation in stores and forget about Asia, in Asia you pretty much only get xbox online. And even in the US many retailers have stopped selling xbox games, to be fair many retailers have stopped selling physical games, but you are way more likely to find PS5 games than xbox games.

"Don´t worry about the Xbox. There´ll be PLENTY of upcoming first party games to take advantage of FSR 3 in the coming months and years."

We're not worried about xbox, but you should be.

"Indiana Jones, Avowed, Fable, Shattered Space (Starfield), Gears of War 6, Perfect Dark, State of Decay 3 and many many more."

They'll all run better on PlayStation 5 Pro.

Frame gen isn't going to save xbox,

It's funny though WCCFL and DF both tried to say that frame gen wasn't going to work or was going to be slower than on xbox because it didn't have DX, I said it will just use the PlayStation equivalent feature.

I was right, and not only that it works better on PlayStation, just like FSR 2 does.

Wow...

You got me, some lucky dev has supposedly made game pass work... it doesn't matter that the whole xbox ecosystem is burning to the ground around them caused by game pass itself killing sales on the platform...

I have two comments.

1. 30 FPS

2. A whole lot of the resources are used for unnecessarily high detail landscapes, which aren't even interesting it's mostly just rocky and lifeless.

Graphics can still be exciting, just not when it's all rocks...

"I tried getting into this but it felt way too much like a souls game."

You can change the difficulty and make it more like a hack and slash. It doesn't need to be a stressful playthrough.

Holy crap man, you are constantly missing the big picture so much I can't even believe you say the things you do...

Yea, this one, of the hundreds of indies on the platform might get lucky and make 1,000,000 in revenue from Microsoft, but everyone else including the indies that don't get lucky, Microsoft and the big AAA is losing billions in sales combined...

Why do you think Microsoft is closing studios and put...

"Does this mean that ppl on PlayStation play too much Essential and PS+ extra?"

Yes, this is what PlayStation has been saying from the beginning, that's why they haven't put their day one games on the service and why they have largely tried to keep the service secondary to sales. Jim Ryan repeatedly stated that putting games on a service like Microsoft is doing wasn't sustainable.

When Insomniac was...

That doesn't work anymore, people on xbox only play what is on game pass.

This is why the series s is so much more popular than the x, because people just buy it as a game pass machine.

This is demonstrated by the fact that even when the two consoles were closer to each other in sales multi-platform games sell 80+% of their copies on PlayStation.

"Look at that and tell me anyone would have a good time with that weird thing"

Are you kidding?

If it had good games of course people would play on it.

People are taking a whole interview and cutting it down to clips that make him look bad and take what he actually was saying out of context. For example he also said things like this AI has "ethical issues we need to address"

He also said it has "ethical issues we need to address" but of course that doesn't get the clicks.

Well yeah, because everyone else is using it so they need to stay competitive. It's the same as paid online, they didn't want to go that route but their competition was making so much money they needed to add paid online just to keep up.
