It's a bit less than sane to try blame Druckmann for someone from Sony PR attributing false quotes (presumably to create excitement for ND's next game) that differ from the transcript.
"he barely thanks the people". This is false.
"maybe you've forgotten the politics of ND circa 2015ish"
What are referring to?
I think there's a simple rebuttal to this.
Putting a game on Game pass dramatically decreases the completion rate and early drop-off on Xbox.
The Steam refund policy simply hasn't created a behavioural shift like that which is glaringly obvious in the data. Case closed.
The vast majority are not frequently refunding games on Steam. That's atypical. And that Steam policy is only effective within 2 weeks of the purchase.
Have a question. Do disc-only gamers have to skip most indie games out of principle? Only high selling indie games seem to get physical releases unless it's a limited run.
Honestly, a PS5 Pro isn't even needed for 60fps in this case. But if they wanted to use it show a game running maxed out at a high resolution at 60fps, I wouldn't complain. Just give us 60fps. lol
I think the Series X might have an issue running the One X version at a locked 60fps as that version was a full native 4K but they could just lower the resolution a bit.
Hopefully 60fps on consoles for RDR2 is next then.
Give 'em an inch and they will take a mile.
Players need to torch their games if they attempt this, even worse than PC players did for the account login for Helldivers 2. A lot worse.
More like how the sales of Battlefront 2 and Shadow Of War were severely hurt over their loot boxes. Make people not want to touch these games through bad word of mouth.
Hopefully they won't have any trouble delivering 60fps on consoles then.
Fair play to him. He is living up to what he said about trying to publish creative, well made games. This has a 91 on Metacritic.
Yeah but the games coming out have been in development for many years so they're not affected by this issue.
This is more about the future.
I would say that indies will continue to put out interesting games at least. They need to avoid buyouts though or they're in danger of ending up like Roll7.
Part of the issue is that CEOs created projections based on the Covid years. Now that the line/Growth™ isn't going up, they're ...
Yeah, the guy making $10m a year is hurting as much as those who have lost their jobs and are worrying about their future and supporting their family. /s
It takes a real lack of shame to even try put the Good Guy Phil™ spin on this. It's not going to work this time.
Thankfully Toys for Bob managed to safely separate from Xbox and are independent now.
The article says it was too ambitious for them to remake 1-4 in a single package for the deadline they had, not that remakes of 3+4 are too ambitious to be made in general. So they cut back to 1+2.
They were going to remake 3+4 later but unfortunately they got diverted to the Call Of Duty mines.
If Microsoft want to prove that they have had any sort of positive influence on Activision whatsoever, I'll be expecting Pro Skater 3+4.

Love this game. Which like to see some DLC like Road to Gehenna in the first game.
I loved Rollerdrome and was looking forward to a Rollerdrome 2. 😐
Don't want to be melodramatic but as far you can be upset over video-game news ... bit heartbroken.
I feel like there's a trend of well made games like this going largely ignored by the gaming audience. It's quite frustrating. I hope the devs form a new studio but I suppose they'd have to start again from scratch.
They have a different publisher for Max Payne than they did for Alan Wake 2 (Rockstar instead of Epic) so there probably will be a physical release for Max Payne 1&2 at least.
If players are willing to play Doom at 30fps on the Switch, I suppose it wouldn't be a problem for them to play Hi-Fi Rush at 30fps.
I suspect it will also get a Switch 2 version/patch.
Fantastic game though. Stands up there with Returnal as being one of the more unique, high quality games this gen with a still somewhat sizable budget.
Let's just leave Call Of Duty behind.
As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.
"Babylon´s Fall, Forspoken, Foamstars, FF: XVI and lastly FF: Rebirth and Rise of Ronin, all of those games underperformed in some level despite the technical quality and critical acclaim."
Babylon's Fall literally has a 41 on Metacritic. lol. What are you talking about?
Forspoken: 59/64
Foamstars: 57
FF16 and FF7R still sold a lot.
SquareEnix once claimed that Tomb Raider (2013) was a financial fail...
The only good thing was Astro Bot.
