The Motorcycle was actually fun and the idea and effects of the Hordes was actually great. Sadly, the zombies in the horde have no health bar so they drop like flies, even if you hit them like once or twice on the knee. Also, no Head Shot Only Mode in another Zombie game.

In the end, it was a very generic game, with terrible mission design and cookie cutter everything. And with terrible writing and terrible written characters, the whole thing was just an Asylum level bad. ...

The fights are not even remotely cinematic. Watch this and then go watch Sifu, or Yakuza6 or Judgement 2 or Urban Reign or God Hand or Elden Ring or Batman or literally anything else...

This is what happens when you put wannabe Movie Directors in charge of a Game Studio. This is what happens when you put the Movie "Feel" before Gameplay. And without great Gameplay, then what are we doing here? Interactive Movies? Might as well go back to the Sega CD/3DO/CD-i era a...

A character select screen would work just fine. If RPG developers, with far more complex gameplay everything, have been able to do this, why is Nintendo still dragging their feet?

This ain't Baldur's Gate nor Morrowind, so lets get to it already.

Two brand-new animals? Fantastic. This game should be ready by the time the Vault Dwellers come out from their Vaults Two Hundred years after the Apocalypse.

Any minute now...

Tried Void Bastards and this is a pass for me. While there was a lot of cool elements for a great System Shock retro style game with an amazing graphical style, the thing was just a turd. Just another example of "Why are Rogue-likes so popular again?" Oh, yeah. This the Tik Tok generation. Make sense now."

Rogue-likes, so much to say about this drive-by crackerjack and cheap style of game design, and not much is good.

As a Fallout game? Pure, Unadulterated Trash. As an Adventure Shooter? Yeah, pretty good.

While most of these games are great to amazing, most are not actual RPGs. Faux RPGs if anything. Turn Based Adventure Games for a more apt description, with Diablo, Brave Fence Musashi and Star Ocean as Action Adventure games.

Again, all great games without a doubt.

Please, keep the original art style and feel at least. Do not dilute these classics and turned them into clones of their sub-par sequels.

Also, how about some Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army and Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon love? And a sequel wouldn't hurt either. Something along the lines of Code Vein or even Scarlet Nexus would be cool. Just, you know, keep the original art style and feel.

Nah. That's like making the main Street Fighter games into a Turd Based shet show in order to appeal to an inferior crowd that couldn't care about the franchise.

The air is stale and smell rotten.

"It wouldn't have been much of a change if they just kept the same old mechanics they'd been using for more than a decade, but with a new main character would it? Granted, the combat isn't perfect but it is the refreshing change the series needed, and I can only see it improving with subsequent iterations"

This is the problem right here. Is this idea that the series needed to change. It is also the idea that IF it needed to change and freshen up, compl...

This my thread? This my thread. One thing is to do an offshoot. Sure, that's fine. No problem. But to kill an entire series? Just to chase all the monies? Ridiculous and pathetic. The worst part is these new fans acting like bitches; "Oh, but it sold better!" Like that makes a difference in the product being actually good, or even if it does good by the fans that actually stuck by the series even when SEGA was acting like idiots; "Oh, they'll never understand Japanese c...

I think from a historical perspective I would change Spyro for Grand Turismo. It's the franchise that made the PS1 look like an absolute unit. Other than that, I can't argue with the rest when it comes to games that defined the PS1.

And to be honest, there should be space for Tekken 3, Wipepout and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in order to round out the PS1 identity as the machine to own at the time.

With Tomb Raider 2, Silent Hill, Symphony of the ...

The Hordes were great. Sadly, once you realize that the Zombies in a Horde have like 1HP, they kinda lose their appeal and scare factor since you can just take them out from afar fairly easy.

But using the Sawmill horde to take down one of the Bounties in one of the Missions was highly satisfying for sure.
